Job Purpose

The role also contributes to organizing public events, collaborating on joint digital campaigns with other UN communication officers, and managing the mission's digital assets. The purpose is to effectively disseminate human rights information and support the mission's objectives through strategic digital communication.
Responsibilities
The Associate Digital Communications Officer is responsible for supporting the communication strategy of the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine (HRMMU). Key duties include developing digital content and campaigns, producing various communication materials (photos, videos, infographics, leaflets, webpages), and maintaining/updating official websites and social media. The role also involves contributing to the organization of public online and offline events, participating in joint digital communication campaigns with the UN Communication and Advocacy Group (UNCAG), and managing the mission's stock of digital communications materials. Additional communication-related functions and special duties as required are also part of the responsibilities.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of progressive experience in communications, international relations, public information, or related fields is required. Specific experience in graphic design, video editing, and the design, development, and maintenance of web pages is also mandatory. Experience within the UN common system or a similar international organization is desirable.
