Job Purpose
This internship in Data Research within the UN Secretariat's Office of Supply Chain Management (OSCM) aims to provide interns with hands-on experience in data analysis and its application to organizational challenges. Interns will support the team by gathering and analyzing data, developing reports, and creating visualizations to inform decision-making. Responsibilities
Gathers and analyzes data from diverse sources, performing statistical and mathematical programming. Develops reports and visual representations of data findings. Designs and maintains databases, providing technical assistance and consultation on statistical methodologies. Supports team members with data cleaning and database system maintenance. Creates simple data visualizations for internal and external use. Translates data results into written reports and presentations for management. Identifies and analyzes trends and patterns using machine learning techniques and statistical methods. Contributes to identifying innovative approaches and ensuring data quality for complex analyses. Assists in developing and delivering data science solutions to support organizational planning and decision-making.
Work Experience
No prior working experience is required for this internship. However, relevant coursework, advanced studies, or skills in data analysis, business intelligence, or related fields are beneficial. Interns are expected to contribute their academic knowledge and skills to support the team's objectives during their tenure.
