This role will support the generation of statistical products and indicators crucial for designing and monitoring public policies related to labor and social security.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this consultancy is to provide technical support for the generation of statistical products and indicators derived from the Social Security Bank (BPS) records. This involves ensuring data quality, standardizing variables, producing statistical reports, and evaluating risks associated with statistical disclosure. The role contributes to the design and monitoring of effective public policies in labor and social security by transforming administrative data into actionable evidence. The consultant will work under the supervision of the Population and Development Area Coordinator at CELADE/ECLAC and the UETSS Unit.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include verifying the quality, consistency, and integrity of BPS data, identifying inconsistencies, and proposing methodological solutions. The role involves supporting the design, updating, and standardization of variable dictionaries for labor and social security databases. Generating statistical tables, reports, and products according to technical unit requirements is essential. This includes conducting statistical disclosure risk assessments and applying data dissociation techniques. Documenting processes through methodological memos and procedure manuals, and delivering structured scripts are also key duties. Active participation in technical meetings and other relevant tasks assigned by the coordination are expected.
Work Experience
A minimum of 2 years of experience is required in statistical analysis of administrative records, indicator construction, longitudinal analysis of labor trajectories, and developing analytical products for public policies. Experience with panel data techniques for longitudinal analysis is also necessary.
