Job Purpose
The purpose of this internship is to provide support in the design and development of a critical application aimed at automating the monitoring and updating of urban policy-related content. This application will specifically focus on municipal financing and budgeting frameworks across Latin America and the Caribbean, contributing to the Cities and Urban Platform. The intern will gain practical experience in software development while contributing to a significant initiative within ECLAC, enhancing the organization's capacity to track and manage urban policy information in the region.
Responsibilities
The intern will be responsible for supporting the design and development of an application. This includes contributing to the automation of monitoring and updating urban policy content for the Cities and Urban Platform. A key focus will be on municipal financing and budgeting frameworks within Latin America and the Caribbean. The role involves applying technical skills to build functionalities such as automated data pipelines, web scraping, and text classification systems, potentially utilizing large language model (LLM) APIs.
