UNEP Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) is a partnership promoting sustainable finance, engaging over 450 financial institutions. This internship supports the APAC Regional Team, focusing on research, administrative tasks, and capacity-building activities within the finance sector.

Job Purpose

This internship aims to support the UNEP Finance Initiative's APAC Regional Team by providing crucial assistance in administrative tasks, conducting in-depth research on financial markets and data analysis, and contributing to regional capacity-building initiatives. The role will involve supporting training programs, coordinating events, and assisting team members with various functions. The intern will gain practical experience in sustainable finance, policy dialogue, and the operational aspects of a leading environmental program, contributing to the team's overall effectiveness and the promotion of sustainable finance practices in the Asia-Pacific region.

Responsibilities

Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and organizing documents to ensure smooth team operations. Conduct desk research on financial markets and perform data analysis to inform strategic decision-making processes. Assist in the implementation of capacity-building initiatives, which includes supporting training programs, coordinating during events and training sessions, and managing resource allocation. Offer general work support to APAC Regional Team members across various functions and tasks as needed. Ensure efficient operational flow and contribute to the team's performance and objectives.

Work Experience

No professional work experience is required for this internship. However, a field of study closely related to the internship's focus is necessary. Applicants must meet the specified academic enrollment or recent graduation criteria.

Skills

Fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of Chinese is desirable. Proficiency in relevant IT skills and programs is expected. Strong research background and an interest in sustainable finance are essential.
