Job Purpose
This internship offers a valuable learning opportunity within OCHA's Human Resources Administration Team in Geneva. The intern will gain practical experience in HR administration, supporting the team in managing benefits, entitlements, and contracts for OCHA staff. The role involves contributing to the efficient functioning of HR processes, assisting with documentation, and engaging with staff members. This position is designed to provide hands-on exposure to human resources within a major international humanitarian organization, fostering professional development and understanding of the UN system.
Responsibilities
Maintain and update HR-related automated systems and databases, including sorting, classifying, and uploading relevant documents to the OCHA HR filing system. Manage HR-related files and records, both electronic and paper, conducting initial reviews for accuracy. Conduct follow-ups with staff to ensure complete submission of documents for travel and other HR-related requests. Provide general administrative support, including processing, drafting, editing, and proofreading correspondence. Schedule appointments and meetings, and monitor deadlines. Assist with special projects and other assigned tasks as needed by the HR Administration Team.
