Job Purpose
This internship within the Specialized Services Branch (SSB) of UNDSS offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in security risk management. The role contributes to the UN's mission by supporting the development and updating of training materials related to information analysis methodologies and security threat intelligence. Responsibilities
The intern will research and compile information on the latest information analysis methodologies, articles, and reports, focusing on Open Source Information (OSINT) and its application in acquiring Security Threat Information (STI). This includes investigating methods like mapping, OSINT tools, and analyzing misinformation, disinformation, and malinformation impacting the UN. The role also involves researching new collation methods and forecasting models to update training materials for the Security Analysis Process and Practice (SAPP) course. Additionally, the intern will research topics for UNDSS online STI trainings and assist in coordinating and scheduling workshops and training sessions, maintaining participant lists.
