Job Purpose

Responsibilities
The intern will provide crucial support to the Digital Tech and Human Rights Section. Key duties include conducting research and analysis on thematic and regional issues related to digital technology and human rights. The intern will also be responsible for drafting and summarizing reports, background materials, and other relevant documents. Additionally, the role involves assisting in the preparation and servicing of meetings, seminars, and workshops, which includes preparing documentation and drafting notes. The intern will perform other related duties as assigned by their supervisor, contributing to the section's overall operational effectiveness.
Work Experience
No professional work experience is required for this internship. However, prior knowledge or experience in human rights, and specifically in digital technology rights, is considered desirable and would be beneficial for the intern's contribution.
Skills
Research and analysis, report drafting and summarization, meeting preparation and servicing, digital technology and human rights knowledge (desirable), fluency in English, knowledge of French or another UN language (desirable).
