Organizational Context

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) leads the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP), a global initiative focused on sharing knowledge for an inclusive green economy. The GGKP operates through three core platforms and is supported by UNEP, GGGI, OECD, UNIDO, and the World Bank. This role supports GGKP platforms and projects with branding and graphic assets.

Job Purpose

This consultancy role is to develop functional mockups for an integrated digital platform that will serve as a central hub for green and circular economy knowledge. The platform will consolidate three existing specialized platforms into a unified, intelligent ecosystem. It aims to serve diverse stakeholders, including policymakers, business representatives, and technical experts, by providing tailored content experiences. The platform will be designed as a mobile-first WebApp, ensuring a seamless user experience across all devices, and will incorporate features like AI-powered personalization, advanced navigation, and interactive AI agents.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility is to design functional mockups for an integrated digital platform that consolidates the Green Policy, Green Industry, and Green Finance platforms into a single, intelligent ecosystem. This involves creating a user experience that caters to diverse stakeholder groups, including policy advisers, technical experts, portfolio managers, and business representatives. The platform design must incorporate AI-powered personalization, multi-dimensional navigation, and interactive AI agents and bots. Additionally, the role requires the development of specialized hubs (Country, Sectoral, Industry Support) for tailored content delivery. The platform must be designed as a mobile-first WebApp to ensure a smooth user experience across all devices, and it will feature professional branding and graphic assets aligned with programmatic needs.

Work Experience

Experience is required in designing complex, multi-user platforms and applications with personalized content delivery. Proficiency in developing web-page and app layouts, including UI elements, UX principles, functional prototyping, responsive design, and mobile design optimization is essential. Experience with FIGMA, including component creation, auto-layout, interactive prototyping, and design systems, is also required. Understanding of frontend technologies like React or NextJS and API integration is necessary.
