The United Nations Regional Information Centre (UNRIC) in Brussels, part of the Department of Global Communications, serves as a primary source of information about the UN system across 22 countries. Job Purpose

By engaging with diverse partners including media, civil society, and EU institutions, the intern will help disseminate UN information materials, promote UN activities, and bring the organization closer to the people it serves across its covered region.
Responsibilities
The intern will assist in various communication tasks to support UNRIC's outreach efforts. Key duties include writing and translating articles for the UNRIC website, updating and managing social media accounts with drafted and edited content, and supporting media monitoring and liaison activities. The role also involves assisting with daily engagement with civil society, academia, and NGOs in relevant countries. Furthermore, the intern will help prepare for and organize events focused on the UN's work and perform other assigned duties to support the Desk Officer and the Centre's overall mission.
