The RCO supports national development priorities and SDG attainment, led by an empowered UN Resident Coordinator. This internship specifically aims to foster inclusive participation and professional development for a young student with a physical disability.
Job Purpose
This internship within the UN Resident Coordinator Office (RCO) in San Salvador provides a formative and immersive experience for a young student with a physical disability. The role contributes to inclusive participation and equal access to professional development. The intern will support key processes in interagency coordination, strategic planning, and financing for development, gaining a deep understanding of the UN system's collaborative work. The position is designed to offer practical experience in partnership-building and integrated programming, aligning with national development priorities and the UN Cooperation Framework, while also supporting innovative financing mechanisms and resource mobilization strategies.
Responsibilities
The intern will contribute to the organization and systematization of interagency and multi-stakeholder meetings to promote coherence and joint action among UN entities. Responsibilities include assisting in the coordination and follow-up of interagency initiatives aligned with the UN Cooperation Framework and national development priorities. The intern will support research and the development of knowledge products and tools related to innovative financing, such as concept notes, briefs, and bulletins. Additionally, the role involves assisting in consultation processes for strategic planning exercises, including the Country Analysis, by compiling and organizing relevant inputs. The intern will also contribute to the design and implementation of resource mobilization strategies, including support for pooled funding mechanisms.
