Organizational Context
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is a global leader in combating drugs, organized crime, corruption, and terrorism. As the guardian of the UN Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC), UNODC provides technical assistance to member states. The Corruption and Financial Crime Branch (CFB) is merging two global programmes to harmonize planning, monitoring, and reporting, and is adopting a new performance management platform, DevResults.
Job Purpose
This role supports the Corruption and Financial Crime Branch (CFB) of UNODC in its mission to combat corruption. The consultant will manage and implement grant onboarding and reporting processes using the DevResults platform for specific INL grants. They will also contribute to harmonizing planning, monitoring, and reporting across CFB's global programmes. A key aspect of the role involves supporting the finalization of CFB's new merged global programme and reviewing a thematic brief that analyzes UNCAC provisions in relation to human rights obligations. This position is crucial for demonstrating and showcasing results, especially as UNODC faces increasing demands and a competitive resource environment.
Responsibilities
Manage and implement the onboarding process for GLOZ99 and GLOU40 INL grants into the DevResults platform, including regular quarterly and outcome reporting. Support and review grant management across the Corruption and Financial Crime Branch (CFB) to ensure a consistent approach to planning, monitoring, and reporting. Contribute to the finalization of CFB’s new merged global programme. Review and support the finalization of a thematic brief analyzing UNCAC provisions with human rights obligations. Ensure the effective identification, demonstration, and showcasing of results from technical assistance delivery.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of working experience in law, rule of law, or a similar area is required. Experience in anti-corruption, economic crimes, or transnational organized crime is necessary. Experience with monitoring and evaluation is required. Experience working with the United Nations or a similar international organization is desirable.
