Climate Finance and Stakeholders Engagement Analyst

The Climate Finance Unit develops innovative solutions to shift capital towards sustainable forest and agri-food systems, aiming to become a hub for sustainable land use and net-zero, nature-positive investments.
Job Purpose
This role supports Viet Nam's climate resilience in agriculture through Nature-based Solutions for Adaptation (NbSA) by engaging financial institutions and the private sector. The purpose is to assess the NbSA finance landscape, identify barriers and opportunities, and facilitate investment. The analyst will contribute to integrating climate and biodiversity objectives into planning and mobilizing finance through various tools and engagement strategies, ultimately aiming to scale private capital for sustainable land use and achieve net-zero, nature-positive outcomes in vulnerable regions.
Responsibilities
Key duties include conducting needs assessments of financial institutions for NbSA, engaging stakeholders (financial institutions, public actors, companies, investors) to analyze the NbSA finance landscape, and identifying risks and opportunities. The role involves preparing policy briefs and white papers, assessing and categorizing financial institutions, and developing a database of investment-ready companies. Facilitating matchmaking between financial institutions and companies, building partnerships with local organizations, and organizing knowledge-sharing events are also core responsibilities. The analyst will also support translation of technical documents as needed.
Work Experience
A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in finance and private sector engagement related to climate change and sustainable development is required. Experience in desk research, writing, and event planning is necessary. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international team environment is also important.
