Organizational Context
The International Trade Centre (ITC) aims to transform trade and change lives by enabling trade-led economic development, particularly in the Global South. The Communications and Events Section manages ITC’s website, media relations, publications, social media, and events, supporting project teams in communicating their impact.
Job Purpose
This role supports the Communications and Events Section by ensuring the quality and functionality of ITC’s website and Content Management System (CMS). The incumbent will perform quality control, provide technical assistance and training to internal users, implement design guidelines, upload and manage content in multiple languages, and generate web analytics reports. The position contributes to maintaining a high-quality online presence and supporting the effective communication of ITC’s mandate and projects.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include testing and quality control of the CMS, reporting technical issues, and drafting specifications for site improvements. The role involves updating and maintaining CMS training manuals, providing first-level technical support to users, and sharing best practices. It also includes implementing graphical site elements according to brand guidelines, overseeing design subcontractors, and managing information flow. Content upload in English, French, and Spanish across various web properties, coordinating translation workflows, and generating site statistics using web analytics tools are also core duties. Administrative support for website-related tasks is also required.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of relevant work experience is required; this can be reduced to three years with a university degree. Experience with content or data management systems is essential. Experience with Drupal, Google Analytics, and DeepL is desirable.
