Job Purpose
This internship aims to support the organization of key UNCRD events, specifically the Regional EST Forum in Asia and the Regional 3R and Circular Economy in Asia and the Pacific. The intern will contribute to event logistics by managing invitee lists, assisting with invitations, tracking nominations, and compiling electronic information for UNCRD's webpages. Additionally, the role involves supporting research for project papers and reports through data collection and analysis, and assisting in the preparation of UNCRD presentations. This position offers practical experience in event organization, research, and data management within the field of sustainable regional development.
Responsibilities
Support the organization of the Regional EST Forum in Asia and the Regional 3R and Circular Economy in Asia and the Pacific. This includes updating invitee lists, assisting with the preparation and dispatch of invitations to participating countries and individuals, and managing the compilation of nominations received. Compile electronic information submitted by participating countries and experts for uploading to UNCRD's webpages. Conduct research to support the preparation of project-related papers and reports by collecting and analyzing data from various resources. Assist in the preparation of UNCRD's presentations for the forums. The intern will report to the Environment Programme Coordinator.
Work Experience
Professional work experience is not required for this internship. However, a relevant academic background in environmental management, urban planning, urban development, waste management, or a related field is essential. Candidates should be computer literate in standard software applications.
