Job Purpose
This internship offers young professionals hands-on experience within a dynamic international team, supporting the UN's sustainable development agenda in the Philippines. The role provides technical support through economic and social research, policy analysis, and coordination/administrative assistance. The intern will gain practical experience in UN programming and multilateral engagement, contributing to the RCO's core functions and advancing the Philippines' development priorities and the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework.
Responsibilities
Conduct economic and social research, analyzing studies, papers, reports, and data relevant to the Philippines' development priorities and the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework. Monitor and summarize economic and social trends, policy developments, and news. Prepare briefing notes, background notes, policy briefs, and other materials for internal and external use. Assist in drafting, editing, and formatting reports and presentations. Support the organization of meetings, consultations, and events related to economic and social policy and programming. Assist in organizing hybrid and digitally enabled coordination meetings and workshops. Draft actionable documentation from meetings, including minutes, summaries, and follow-up action points.
