Job Purpose
This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in financial management and reporting within a global humanitarian context. The intern will support the Budget, Financial Management and Reporting Section of UNMAS by assisting with financial report preparation, data organization, documentation, and administrative tasks. This role contributes to the effective financial operations of UNMAS, enabling its mission to reduce the impact of explosive hazards worldwide and support peace operations.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include researching, compiling, and editing information for financial reports and statements. The intern will support process mapping for project continuity and manage documentation archiving in both hard and digital formats. Assisting with data organization in Microsoft Excel for donor reports, drafting meeting minutes, and maintaining tasking sheets are also core duties. Additional tasks involve supporting special projects, preparing for meetings and trainings, drafting routine correspondence on financial matters, and providing administrative support to finance officers.
Work Experience
No professional work experience is required for this internship. However, a field of study closely related to finance, budgeting, or financial management is necessary. Applicants must be students in their final year of a bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. program, or have already completed such a program.
