Job Purpose
The purpose of this internship is to provide support to the Meeting Management Section within the UN Secretariat's Department for General Assembly and Conference Management. Responsibilities
The intern will be responsible for assisting in the timely coordination of cost recovery for extra-budgetary meetings and events. This includes liaising with service providers, obtaining quotes, preparing and communicating quotations to clients, and proactively following up on confirmations and payments. The role also involves tracking ongoing requests, maintaining organized records, and identifying potential workflow inefficiencies. Additionally, the intern will monitor publicly available information related to extra-budgetary meetings and events, flagging potential policy violations. Responsibilities extend to compiling findings, supporting compliance actions, and assisting with internal tracking tools. General support includes responding to queries from delegates and secretariats, coordinating conference services, and contributing to the improvement of templates and internal workflows.
Work Experience
