The UN Secretariat, specifically the UNRWA Human Resources Department at Headquarters Amman, is seeking an intern to support the Compensation Unit. This role will contribute to the team's 2026 workplan through analytical, operational, and process improvement activities, offering practical experience in compensation management within an international setting.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this internship is to provide support to the Compensation Team in implementing its 2026 workplan. The intern will engage in analytical, operational, and process improvement tasks, contributing to data analysis, policy reviews, and the development of reporting tools and SOPs. This role aims to enhance the team's efficiency and effectiveness in compensation management while offering the intern valuable practical experience in an international human resources environment. The intern will gain exposure to compensation frameworks, salary survey methodologies, policy development, advanced Excel analytics, and process optimization, including AI applications.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Manager, Compensation Unit, the intern will contribute to data analysis, including salary surveys and benchmarking. Responsibilities include supporting policy reviews and tracking allowances. The intern will also assist in the development of reporting tools and process improvements, such as creating SOPs and templates. Overall, the role involves providing comprehensive support to the compensation team, contributing to structured datasets, analytical outputs, and the optimization of compensation-related processes and tools, potentially including AI initiatives.
Work Experience
