Organizational Context
The United Nations Department of Operational Support's Triangular Partnership Programme (TPP) aims to enhance peacekeeping capabilities. This role supports TPP training courses conducted in Kampong Speu, Cambodia, contributing to the successful delivery and closure of these vital programs.
Job Purpose
This role serves as a Logistics Assistant to support critical training initiatives under the Triangular Partnership Programme (TPP), which focuses on enhancing peacekeeping capabilities. The assistant will ensure the smooth logistical execution of various courses, including Engineering Project Management, Heavy Engineering Equipment Training, Explosive Hazard Awareness, and Field Medical Assistant training. Responsibilities include coordinating all logistical requirements, managing assets and stores, processing requests for materials and transport, providing direct training support, and assisting with customs and closure activities. The ultimate goal is to facilitate the effective delivery of training and contribute to the successful completion of TPP operations in Cambodia.
Responsibilities
Coordinate all logistics requirements for TPP training courses. Maintain accurate records of TPP assets and stores, including receipt, inspection, and issuance. Process requests for training materials, transportation, and fuel, ensuring timely approval. Provide direct training support, such as printing materials and video recording. Assist with customs procedures for item shipments between Cambodia and Thailand. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with local Cambodian entities and training school staff. Ensure up-to-date records for asset control, maintenance, and handover. Efficiently process requests from training teams and manage approved support requests and expenditures. Liaise with vendors and partners to support program activities.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in supply chain management, contract management, or logistics support for training programs. Experience with customs processes for goods shipment is advantageous. Previous work with the TPP is also considered an advantage.
