Job Purpose
The Financial Data and Reporting Analyst Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) by enhancing financial data integration, analysis, and reporting. This position involves extracting and compiling financial data from various systems, performing trend analysis, and identifying financial anomalies. The intern will contribute to the preparation of financial reports, dashboards, and executive summaries, translating complex data into clear narratives for management and stakeholders. A key aspect of this role is the application of AI and data tools to automate reporting tasks, improve efficiency, and support the development of analytics models, ultimately contributing to informed decision-making and improved financial oversight within OCHA's humanitarian operations.
Responsibilities
The intern will be responsible for integrating and reconciling financial data from multiple systems, supporting monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reporting processes, and assisting in the preparation of financial dashboards and summary tables. Key duties include performing trend analysis on expenditures, commitments, and budget utilization, identifying variances, and contributing to the interpretation of financial results. The role also involves translating raw financial data into clear narratives and concise commentary for management and stakeholders. Work Experience
