Organizational Context
The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), specifically its Sub-regional Office for Eastern Africa (SRO-EA) in Kigali, Rwanda, is hosting interns for a two-month period. Job Purpose

Interns will support the office's operations by producing analytical reports, researching sustainable economic development in Eastern Africa, and assisting with publications. Responsibilities
Interns will produce analytical, quantitative, and qualitative elements for documents and reports. They will conduct research and analyze topics related to sustainable economic development in Eastern Africa. Key duties include drafting and editing publications, papers, and other documents. Interns will also liaise with SRO-EA stakeholders on critical African development topics. They will support the organization of meetings and events, assist with outreach activities, and participate in the day-to-day operational tasks of the SRO-EA, such as servicing information requests and developing presentations. Additionally, interns will liaise with partner organizations and perform assigned administrative tasks.
Work Experience
No professional work experience is required for participation in this internship program. The focus is on academic enrollment and the ability to contribute to the office's tasks based on training and experience gained during studies.
Skills
Proficiency in MS Office. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and beliefs. Fluency in oral and written English. Knowledge of French is desirable.
