Established in January 2025, it supports the Global Digital Compact and the Secretary-General's vision for digital cooperation. This internship is within the Communications team, focusing on multimedia storytelling and video production to enhance UNODET's visibility.
Job Purpose
This Communications internship (Videography and Digital Media) aims to enhance UNODET's visibility and engagement through compelling multimedia storytelling and video production. The role will focus on capturing and editing short-form digital media content to document events, initiatives, and high-level engagements related to digital cooperation and emerging technologies. The intern will contribute to creating engaging content for various social media platforms, supporting the UN's strategic communication efforts in the digital space. This position offers a practical opportunity to apply videography and editing skills in a dynamic international environment, contributing to the UN's mission of accelerating global digital cooperation and mitigating technological risks.
Responsibilities
Capture high-quality video content in diverse settings, including conferences and high-level UN events. Film behind-the-scenes footage and key activities to support storytelling initiatives. Edit short-form, social-media-optimized video content for platforms like LinkedIn, YouTube, Bluesky, and X, utilizing professional editing software. Assist the communications team in producing engaging multimedia content that highlights UNODET's work on digital cooperation and emerging technologies. Record video and audio using professional or mobile production equipment. Organize and manage all video footage and media assets with meticulous attention to detail and efficient file management practices.
Work Experience
Experience capturing video in real-world environments such as conferences, interviews, or events. Demonstrated proficiency in video editing tools like Adobe Premier Pro or similar software. Strong visual storytelling skills and organizational abilities for managing media assets are essential.
