The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) seeks two Individual Contractors to develop a computer system for automating the detection and visualization of networks in operational analysis. This role supports UNODC's mandate by enhancing data analysis capabilities through internal databases, contributing to improved operational efficiency and information security.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to design, develop, and implement a comprehensive computer system for automating the detection and visualization of networks within operational analysis. This includes creating integrated architecture for systems like SISO V2 and NEMESIS, developing security and user management modules, and implementing foreign currency and STR/PCC/PEP/ROG management modules. The system will automate compliance validations, detect inconsistencies, generate alerts, and produce internal and external reports. The contractor will ensure system interoperability and contribute to improved efficiency and reduced manual intervention in operational processes, supporting UNODC's analytical and compliance functions.
Responsibilities
Design and establish a standardized, scalable architecture for seamless integration between SISO V2 and NEMESIS systems. Develop and implement a security and user management module, including role-based access control and authentication, integrated with Caronte V2. Design and implement a foreign currency management module for centralized registration, searching, and updating of data. Ensure system interoperability by establishing interfaces and protocols for current and future systems. Design and generate internal and external reports and queries adapted to the new system architecture, ensuring security and confidentiality. Implement the ROS, PCC, PEP, and foreign currency management module, ensuring consistency and traceability. Automate compliance validation processes, detect inconsistencies, manage risk controls, and generate alerts and reports to improve efficiency.
Work Experience
A minimum of 2 years of demonstrable professional experience in IT and/or systems development is required. Experience with Java programming, data integration, information security, Big Data management, or Business Intelligence is also required.
