Job Purpose

Additionally, the role will foster women's entrepreneurship in digital, green, and care economies through policy development, ecosystem strengthening, and enhancing access to resources, ultimately creating sustainable livelihoods and expanding women's economic participation.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include co-leading the organization of the Thematic Working Group on Gender and SDGs, preparing concept notes, programmes, and presentation materials, and coordinating with counterparts. The role involves supporting the finalization of a key publication on care systems, preparing materials for national consultations on care and entrepreneurship, and providing support for regional forums on women's entrepreneurship. Additional duties include supporting reporting on gender equality and care economy projects, assisting with the UN-SWAP, and facilitating the implementation of agreements with partners like Oxfam Pilipinas, including small-grants initiatives and good practices mapping. The contractor will also provide general support aligned with ESCAP's gender equality and women's entrepreneurship goals.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of experience in research and analysis on socioeconomic issues is required. Previous experience working with UN entities and governments on gender equality issues is necessary. Experience within the Asia-Pacific region is highly desirable. Experience in coordinating and providing administrative support for event organization is also required.
Skills
Strong research and drafting skills. Coordination and administrative support for event organization. Familiarity with gender equality, care economy, and women's economic empowerment concepts. Ability to work with UN entities and governments. Russian language proficiency is a plus.
