Job Purpose
This role supports the design, development, and delivery of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs in Interior Design. The incumbent will be responsible for curriculum development, including occupational analyses and learning materials, and facilitating inclusive learning experiences in classrooms, workshops, and workplaces. Key functions include designing and conducting formative and summative assessments, building employer linkages to gather labor market information, and applying quality assurance frameworks. The position also involves supporting TVET greening and digitalization initiatives, integrating relevant skills, and collaborating with colleagues to maintain a positive and disciplined learning environment. The role contributes to equipping Palestine refugees with essential skills for personal and professional development.
Responsibilities
Supports the design and development of learning programs and curricula, including occupational analyses, drafting learning materials, and integrating new technologies and career guidance. Facilitates the delivery of school-based and work-based learning, managing training venues, equipment, and inclusive learning strategies, incorporating Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) and core skills. Designs and conducts formative and summative assessments, including practice-based and knowledge-based tests, and develops assessment plans. Builds linkages with employers and TVET instructors, utilizing labor market information to identify skills gaps. Applies quality assurance processes according to the UNRWA TVET Quality Assurance Framework. Supports TVET greening and digitalization initiatives by designing and implementing relevant programs and sessions. Collaborates with staff to coordinate teaching, maintain a respectful environment, and implement co-curricular activities, while supporting OSH measures and reporting incidents.
Work Experience
Experience requirements vary by grade level. Grade 11 requires no experience. Grade 12 requires two years of relevant teaching experience or no experience with an advanced degree. Grade 13 requires two to four years of relevant teaching experience, potentially with an advanced degree. Equivalencies for qualifications and experience may be considered.
