This role contributes to the Climate Ambition and Transparency Team's project focused on developing integral carbon markets.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this consultancy is to enhance the online course 'From Zero to Expert: Carbon Markets' by improving and finalizing its educational materials in both English and Spanish. This includes refining videos, slide decks, website text, scripts, captions, and assessments to ensure technical accuracy, editorial quality, and a user-friendly learning experience. The role supports the UNEP's initiative to build capacity and provide accessible information on carbon markets and Article 6 of the Paris Agreement within the Latin America and Caribbean region, ultimately aiding countries in their climate mitigation efforts and participation in carbon markets.
Responsibilities
The consultant will be responsible for improving and finalizing all materials for the online course 'From Zero to Expert: Carbon Markets,' ensuring technical accuracy and quality in both English and Spanish versions. This includes revising content for videos, slide decks, website text, scripts, captions, and assessments. The consultant will also participate in relevant meetings and coordinate closely with the communications specialist and web developer of the Regional Carbon Markets Observatory to implement necessary adjustments. The role involves examining and performing quality checks on 13 course modules to prepare them for public availability on the Observatory's website, contributing to the UNEP's project supporting carbon market development in the LAC region.
Work Experience
Requires at least two years of experience in developing, reviewing, or translating knowledge products, policies, proposals, or other technical content related to carbon markets, climate change, energy, or environmental management.
