Job Purpose
The purpose of this consultancy is to refine, operationalize, and support the implementation of the IIMP Gender Strategy. This involves translating the strategy into actionable practices, strengthening internal capacities, and systematically integrating gender perspectives across all areas of work, ensuring the voices of victims, survivors, and families are reflected.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include refining the IIMP Gender Strategy and assessing its alignment with institutional mandates and international standards. The consultant will support the operationalization of the strategy across institutional tools, policies, and processes, and ensure the systematic integration of gender considerations in areas like participation, referrals, data collection, and engagement with victims and families. This involves providing tailored technical advice, designing and delivering staff training on gender-sensitive approaches, and developing practical implementation frameworks. The role also includes reviewing communication materials for gender inclusivity, proposing monitoring indicators, and developing practical tools and guidance documents to support gender-responsive programming.
Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in gender mainstreaming, gender analysis, and institutional gender strategy development and implementation is required. Experience in facilitating capacity-building workshops or training sessions for diverse teams is also necessary.
