The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the leading global environmental authority, setting the environmental agenda and promoting sustainable development within the UN system. This consultancy position is within the HR Section of the Corporate Services Division, based in Nairobi, reporting to the Training Officer.
Job Purpose
This role is to design, develop, facilitate, and report on a virtual learning program focused on "Leading with Balance: Attaining Work-Life Balance and the Power of Cross-Cultural Working in Times of Uncertainty." The program aims to equip leaders with strategies for balancing work and personal life, enhancing well-being and sustainable leadership. It also seeks to develop managers' cultural intelligence to effectively lead diverse teams and leverage global perspectives, contributing to a more resilient and inclusive workforce within UNEP.
Responsibilities
The consultant will conduct a pre-learning needs assessment and produce an analytical report. They will design and develop diverse learning resources, including presentations, guides, case studies, and practical exercises, tailored to identified learning needs. Key responsibilities include facilitating engaging virtual learning sessions using adult learning methodologies for effective knowledge transfer and skills development. Finally, the consultant will administer post-learning assessments and prepare a comprehensive report detailing participant feedback, learning outcomes, observations, and lessons learned.
Work Experience
A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in learning design, facilitation, coaching, and organizational development is required. Experience with UN or international organizations in change management or HR development is desirable.
