Job Purpose
This role provides essential coordination support for the effective implementation of the VIBE programme in Rwanda. The primary objective is to facilitate the successful execution of project activities aimed at increasing dignified employment, particularly for marginalized groups within the agricultural sector. This involves enabling micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to better access and benefit from markets, contributing to post-pandemic recovery and integrating a job focus into trade initiatives. The position is crucial for achieving the programme's goals of empowering youth and women-led MSMEs through enhanced market access and business development.
Responsibilities
The incumbent will participate in project implementation and evaluation, monitoring progress, and identifying issues with proposed solutions. This includes conducting research, analyzing data from various sources, and preparing reports and policy reviews. The role involves facilitating workshops and interactive sessions with partner organizations to support change management and action plan development. Additionally, the position requires undertaking survey initiatives, designing data collection tools, and interpreting findings. The role also entails preparing written outputs such as background papers and draft reports, providing substantive support for meetings, and coordinating budget and funding activities. Mobilization and outreach activities, including training workshops and presentations, are also key responsibilities, alongside participating in or leading field missions.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration, or a related area is required. Experience in women's economic empowerment and market-access activities in Rwanda is considered an advantage.
