Job Purpose
The Project Coordination Associate's primary purpose is to ensure the efficient and coordinated implementation, monitoring, and delivery of ITC's projects within Baghdad and its neighbouring governorates. This role involves supporting project activities, fostering strong relationships with implementing partners and local stakeholders, and contributing to research and needs assessments. The associate will facilitate communication, coordinate meetings, and assist in data collection and analysis to support project reporting and evaluation. By ensuring smooth project operations and effective collaboration, the role directly contributes to ITC's mission of connecting markets and improving lives through trade-led growth in Iraq.
Responsibilities
The Project Coordination Associate will provide essential support for the planning and implementation of project activities across Baghdad, Anbar, and neighbouring governorates. Key duties include maintaining effective relationships with implementing partners, government agencies, private sector organizations, NGOs, and beneficiaries. The associate will organize meetings with local authorities to raise awareness and enhance support for project activities. Field visits will be conducted to monitor progress, identify challenges, and provide technical support. Reporting on deviations and proposing solutions to management is crucial. The role involves supporting the planning and execution of various project activities such as surveys, workshops, and training sessions. Facilitating communication and coordination between project teams and stakeholders, including other international organizations, is also a core responsibility. Furthermore, the associate will contribute to data collection and analysis for reporting and M&E, administer surveys, collect evidence, and monitor the local political, security, and business context.
Work Experience
A minimum of seven years of experience in programme or project administration, technical cooperation, or a related area is required. This can be reduced to five years for candidates with a first-level university degree or higher. Experience in the agriculture or agri-food sector, working with diverse stakeholders (government, private sector, NGOs), and in data collection and analysis is desirable.
