Responsibilities
The Information Management Assistant is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of quality content from information partners and initiating coverage for sudden onset crises. The role supports the coordination of content management across various duty stations to ensure smooth collaboration and consistent workflows. Responsibilities also involve facilitating quality control and verification of content, monitoring and reporting technical problems, and escalating issues with recommendations for process improvement. Additionally, the assistant addresses standard client needs by efficiently resolving cases, contributing to effective crisis response and maintaining the credibility of OCHA's information.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of experience in the humanitarian, human rights, or development sector is required, including two years in communication, reporting, information management, online editing, desktop publishing, or journalism. Experience with web content management systems, understanding taxonomy and content classification, knowledge of humanitarian issues, and remote team collaboration are desirable.
