The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Brazil seeks a consultant to model the National System for the Control of Fish Product Origin. This role operates under the supervision of the UNODC Representative in Brazil and the GPCAE team, contributing to the development of a critical national system.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this consultancy is to provide expert technical assistance in the modeling of the National System for the Control of Fish Product Origin. The consultant will be responsible for conducting requirements analysis, developing system modeling documentation using UML notation and Enterprise Architect®, and facilitating validation processes. This role is crucial for aligning stakeholders, defining system architecture, and ensuring the successful development of the national system, ultimately supporting UNODC's mandate in combating environmental crime. The consultant will act in an advisory capacity, ensuring the project meets its technical objectives within the defined timeline.
Responsibilities
The consultant will prepare a detailed work plan, including methodology, phases, stakeholder consultation, timeline, risks, and meeting schedules. They will participate in and facilitate workshops and virtual meetings with UNODC's technical team and relevant partners to align on the system's methodology, scope, and implementation. Key duties include conducting requirements analysis, preparing system modeling documentation using UML and Enterprise Architect®, and facilitating the validation of all deliverables through formal meeting minutes. The consultant is also responsible for submitting the final system modeling document, meeting minutes, and the Enterprise Architect® file.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of experience is required in software project management, requirements analysis, system modeling, systems development, and web systems design and development. Experience with geospatial database support systems is desirable.
