Job Purpose

Responsibilities
The Refugee Support Coordinator receives and assists Palestine refugees from Syria (PRS) with their online registration process, including documentation and account creation. They inform PRS about eligible assistance and services in Egypt and coordinate with departments and service providers to address needs and complaints. The role requires staying informed about regional political, social, and economic developments affecting refugees and reporting significant changes. The coordinator supports the implementation and monitoring of assistance agreements with partners like UNHCR, acting as a liaison with various stakeholders including IOM, UNCHR, WFP, and the Palestinian Embassy to ensure coordinated support and timely responses. They participate in inter-agency groups, identify service providers, and contribute to policy discussions. The coordinator also drafts correspondence, prepares statistics and reports, maintains detailed records of PRS issues and assistance provided, and manages an office hotline for inquiries, ensuring information dissemination and referral coordination.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of experience working with refugees, vulnerable migrants, or individuals with complex needs is required. Experience in law or public affairs, particularly in a multicultural setting, and in inter-agency coordination is also necessary. Proficiency with standard office software and familiarity with the UN system and the Middle East context are desirable.
