Job Purpose
This internship supports the IX Session of the Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction in the Americas and the Caribbean. The role will provide crucial administrative and logistical support to ensure the successful organization and execution of the Regional Platform event. The intern will assist with procurement processes, participant communication, and other logistical arrangements, contributing to the effective functioning of this critical regional forum for disaster risk reduction. This role is vital for facilitating knowledge exchange and agreement on disaster risk reduction priorities within the region.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive support for all procurement processes related to the Regional Platform, including interpretation and translation services, online platforms, software, and production companies. Assist in elaborating Terms of Reference and obtaining quotations. Follow up on administrative tasks to ensure timely completion of procurement activities. Support the development and updating of participant lists for the Regional Platform. Respond to incoming inquiries from participants and manage follow-up communications. Provide additional logistical support as requested to ensure the smooth operation of the event.
