Organizational Context
The United Nations Secretariat, Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA), specifically the UN Global Geospatial Information Centre (UN GGCE) in Bonn, is seeking an intern to support its capacity development and digital learning initiatives. Job Purpose
This internship aims to provide practical experience in e-learning content development and digital learning support within the UN Secretariat. The intern will contribute to the creation and deployment of an e-learning course on geodesy, transforming technical content into accessible online modules. Responsibilities
The intern will support the development of an e-learning course on geodesy by structuring and adapting UN GGCE content for online learning. Key duties include converting technical materials into learner-centered modules using Articulate 360, developing interactive elements, and preparing course outlines and storyboards. Responsibilities also encompass integrating and hosting content on the Digital Learning Centre's Moodle platform, conducting quality assurance testing, and collaborating with technical experts to ensure accuracy. The intern will assist in preparing supporting materials, documenting meetings, and performing other related tasks to support UN GGCE's capacity development activities.

However, a strong academic background in a field closely related to the internship's focus on e-learning and geospatial sciences is essential. Desirable experience includes familiarity with Moodle LMS and proficiency with content authoring tools like Articulate 360.
