Job Purpose

The Technical Assistant - CAD role is crucial for ensuring the continuous flow of operations within UNRWA by preparing all necessary drafting work using AutoCAD software. This includes creating site surveys, schematic designs, concept designs, master plans, and detailed architectural, structural, electrical, and mechanical drawings. The position also involves producing 3D presentation drawings, diagrams, and charts to support team presentations. By generating hard copies for supervisor review and assisting Division Heads with daily operations, the role directly contributes to the efficient execution of projects, including the remodeling of existing buildings and the design of housing and shelters, ultimately supporting the agency's mission.

Responsibilities

Prepare comprehensive AutoCAD drafting for site surveys, schematic designs, concept designs, master plans, and detailed architectural, structural, electrical, and mechanical drawings. Create 3-dimensional presentation drawings, diagrams, and charts for team presentations. Produce hard copies of designs and plans for supervisor review and approval. Assist Division Heads in managing daily operations to ensure smooth workflow. Develop drawings for remodeling existing buildings and design detailed plans for housing and shelters. Perform other assigned duties as directed by the supervisor to support project execution and operational continuity.

Work Experience

Requires five years of experience in AutoCAD drawing, drafting, graphic works, and 3D applications. Experience with engineering-related office equipment such as plotters and photocopying machines is also necessary.
