The United Nations Operations and Crisis Centre (UNOCC) supports UN senior leadership decision-making through situational awareness, analytics, preventive engagement, and crisis management. Job Purpose
This internship aims to support the United Nations Operations and Crisis Centre (UNOCC) in its mission to provide rapid situational awareness and analysis. The intern will contribute to informed, coordinated, and timely decision-making and strategic engagement on operations and crisis management at UN Headquarters. The role involves supporting senior leadership by analyzing data, drafting reports, conducting research, and assisting with meeting organization, thereby enhancing the UNOCC's capacity to manage crises and support UN operations globally.
Responsibilities
The intern will support the UNOCC Watch Room by analyzing and visualizing data from UNOCC repositories. Key duties include drafting and formatting meeting minutes, outcome notes, briefings, country profiles, and presentations for UN senior leadership. The role also involves conducting open-source monitoring and research, and assisting with the organization of enhanced monitoring and crisis management meetings. Additional assignments as required will be undertaken to support the team's overall objectives.
Work Experience
