Organizational Context

The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) serves as the Regional Office for the Americas of the World Health Organization (WHO).

Job Purpose

To provide technical assistance for the follow-up of planned project activities and regular technical cooperation, facilitating technical articulation with various local actors, and systematizing key information for monitoring indicators, identifying health gaps, and formulating technical recommendations for the country office.

Responsibilities

Provide technical assistance in local coordination meetings, maintain fluid relationships with local authorities and stakeholders, facilitate articulation between local actors and project teams, support cooperation activities, monitor project indicators and products, collect and consolidate reports, monitor the implementation of planned activities, monitor work plans and project timelines, provide technical input to the country office, assist in the follow-up of technical-administrative processes, support the logistical planning and monitoring of field activities, maintain records of progress and alerts, participate in joint monitoring visits, facilitate the timely transmission of relevant information from the field to the country office, and participate in virtual follow-up meetings.

Work Experience

Essential: At least five (5) years of experience in public health management, preferably in humanitarian or local development contexts, with experience working with communities, local governments, and civil society organizations. Desirable: Previous experience with the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization, United Nations System, International Organizations, or Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in coordination or stakeholder articulation roles.
