Organizational Context

The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) serves as the Regional Office for the Americas of the World Health Organization (WHO).

Job Purpose

To support the planning and implementation of PAHO's Vaccination Week of the Americas (VWA) 2027, promoting vaccination operations and keeping the regional immunization program a priority for Member States.

Responsibilities

Support the planning and implementation of Vaccination Week of the Americas (VWA) 2027. Participate in strategic meetings. Develop plans, remarks, presentations, and other communication products for VWA 2027. Update templates for 2027. Review country plans for VWA 2027. Collaborate with communications teams to review materials.

Work Experience

Seven years of combined national and international experience in risk communication and community engagement (RCCE), with emphasis on the design, implementation, and evaluation of communication activities and campaigns. Experience should include participation in technical cooperation programs and activities in demand generation, risk communication, or community engagement in a health-related program or institution.

Skills

Demonstrated ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook). Ability to organize and participate in conference calls using Zoom and MS Teams platforms.
