Organizational Context

The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) serves as the Regional Office for the Americas of the World Health Organization (WHO).

Job Purpose

To support the Special Comprehensive Immunization Program (CIM) and the countries of the Region in strengthening electronic immunization registries and immunization information systems, promoting the strategic use of data to strengthen evidence-based decision-making and the management of immunization programs at all levels.

Responsibilities

Monitor and evaluate RIAP2030 and track the Immunization Agenda 2030 by updating indicator monitoring tools and consolidating country-reported information for regional analysis. Systematize vaccination policies and promote analytical tools for coverage monitoring. Develop capacity-building courses for health personnel on data analysis. Provide technical support to countries for the implementation and strengthening of Electronic Immunization Registries (EIR) and decision-making tools. Monitor national EIR initiatives, facilitate experience exchange among countries, and support the dissemination of country experiences. Analyze and define technical criteria for vaccination schedules and strategies for digital tools. Support pilot implementation and systematization of experiences with digital decision-making tools.

Work Experience

At least 7 years of experience in health, management, and the use of technological tools, as well as in the analysis of data from health information systems. Demonstrated experience in immunization programs.
