Organizational Context
The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) serves as the Regional Office for the Americas of the World Health Organization (WHO).
Job Purpose
The PAHO internship program provides a framework for students to gain practical work experience, be exposed to the work of PAHO, and assist PAHO programs. This specific internship supports the Office of the Ombudsman.
Responsibilities
Support the development of internal communications and intranet site for the Ombudsperson and services at PAHO and other WHO regional ombuds offices. Assist in content creation, research, and the design of engaging learning materials. Support the preparation of surveys, compile data collected, collect feedback, and analyze data to help improve training effectiveness.
Work Experience
Experience in research and/or drafting reports, in the subject area through academic work or research, or field/developing country experience may be needed or advantageous. Familiarity with commonly used computer programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. Knowledge of specialized computer programs, such as statistical software, may be an advantage.
