Job Purpose
This consultancy aims to strengthen communication activities for a project funded by the Regional Humanitarian Fund for Latin America and the Caribbean - Haiti (RHPF LAC), ensuring rapid access to vital health services and emergency care for Haitian populations facing urgent humanitarian health needs. The consultant will coordinate and implement communication and visibility activities for the project.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and implement communication and visibility activities for the project. Develop and execute the project's communication plan. Liaise with technical units, the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP), PAHO headquarters communication focal point, and the OCHA communication team. Oversee the production of field videos, human interest stories, web articles, social media content, and awareness materials. Ensure quality, relevance, and adherence to PAHO/WHO standards. Develop and implement project visibility actions, including branding, visual aids, and campaigns. Integrate donor visibility requirements, particularly from OCHA. Coordinate external consultants and service providers (photographers, videographers, graphic designers). Manage production, validate deliverables, and ensure deadlines are met. Monitor the project's communication budget and coordinate administrative aspects related to contracts and payments. Document activities, produce regular reports on communication actions, and track performance indicators.
Work Experience
3 to 5 years of experience in communication, preferably in a humanitarian or public health context. Experience in multimedia content production and managing service providers.
Skills
Excellent writing skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Good knowledge of the Haitian context.
