The role supports the overall response by identifying and assisting individuals with specific protection needs.

Job Purpose

This role is crucial for implementing community protection activities within affected areas and temporary shelters, directly contributing to the project's goal of ensuring crisis-affected populations access safe, dignified, and timely humanitarian assistance. The position strengthens community protection networks and local mechanisms, facilitating community feedback and promoting access to essential information and services. The role involves identifying individuals at risk and referring them to the case management team for specialized attention. This includes conducting information sessions on rights and available services, disseminating information on protection routes for gender-based violence and child protection, and identifying vulnerable individuals through community engagement. The officer will also participate in field visits, identify emerging risks, report them to the protection team, and organize meetings with community leaders and local organizations to support the establishment or strengthening of community protection mechanisms.

Work Experience

Experience is required in protection programs, case management with vulnerable populations, community protection, and working with social organizations and humanitarian actors.
