Job Purpose

This role supports IOM's Voluntary Assisted Return (AVR) program in Costa Rica, assisting extra-regional migrants and other nationalities in the Americas. The Case Management & Data Assistant will work under the AVR M&E Officer to manage and maintain program data, ensuring accuracy and availability for analysis and decision-making. The position contributes to the effective operation and monitoring of AVR services, supporting the program's goals of providing assistance and facilitating return pathways for migrants.

Responsibilities

Key duties include managing and updating program registration systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency. Systematize information for the Integration Support Program, maintaining real-time database and dashboard updates with data validation. Periodically analyze data to identify gaps and trends, preparing periodic and ad hoc reports for stakeholders. Communicate critical findings to relevant programs and stakeholders. Serve as the M&E and data focal point, coordinating between case managers and ensuring adherence to data privacy standards. Apply quality control measures to reports and tools, and manage data for cases returning to the AVR program. Provide operational monitoring support, including hotel occupancy, and assist the AVR M&E Officer with data analysis and tool improvement.

Work Experience

Requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in humanitarian, migration, or case management settings. Proven experience in data management, analysis, report writing, and creating monitoring tools is essential. Familiarity with case management systems and data visualization tools is beneficial.

Skills

Strong organizational, facilitation, communication, writing, and presentation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database management. Strong interpersonal skills for a multi-cultural setting. Data entry and analysis capabilities.
