Case Management & Data Assistant (Integration)
Organizational Context
IOM, a UN agency established in 1951, promotes humane and orderly migration. The Costa Rica office implements a project supporting migrants by facilitating access to legal identity, services, and livelihood opportunities. This role operates within the Great Metropolitan Area, focusing on community-level integration activities under the supervision of the Integration Program Coordinator and Senior Project Associate.
Job Purpose
This role supports the data management of IOM Costa Rica's integration program for migrants choosing to remain in the country. The Case Management & Data Assistant will ensure the accuracy, consistency, and availability of program data, facilitating referrals, counter-referrals, and informed decision-making. The position contributes to the project's goal of strengthening social connectedness and supporting migrants' integration through effective data handling and reporting, ensuring adherence to IOM's data privacy standards and M&E requirements.
Responsibilities
The Case Management & Data Assistant is responsible for supporting the registration and maintenance of program case management systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency. This includes systematizing integration data for referrals and analysis, and keeping databases and dashboards updated in real time with quality control measures. The role involves periodic data review to identify gaps and trends, and supporting the preparation of periodic and ad hoc reports for stakeholders. The assistant will act as the M&E and data focal point, coordinating information exchange between case managers and program coordinators, ensuring adherence to data privacy standards, and supporting operational monitoring and referral mechanisms.
Work Experience
Requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in humanitarian, migration, or case management contexts. Proven experience in data management, analysis, report writing, and creating monitoring tools is essential. Familiarity with case management systems and data visualization tools is also required.
Skills
Strong organizational, facilitation, communication, writing, and presentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management. Strong interpersonal skills for a multicultural setting. Data entry and analysis capabilities.
