Organizational Context

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) implements projects funded by international donors with high standards for monitoring, reporting, and data visualization. The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting team supports project activities, donor requirements, and strategic decision-making. This role is crucial given the current emergency context and increasing violence in the region, requiring timely and quality information.

Job Purpose

The Project Assistant (Information Management and Reporting) will support the technical team in monitoring project activities, achievements, and indicators, ensuring compliance with IOM processes and donor guidelines. The role involves designing monitoring tools, preparing quantitative and qualitative reports, and contributing to project deliverables that demonstrate progress and results. This position is essential for maintaining consistent and quality monitoring through efficient processes and accessible tools, providing key information in a timely manner to support project success and organizational objectives. The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the Head of Sub-Office, in coordination with the Program Support Unit.

Responsibilities

Support the operational implementation of the Mission's Unified Monitoring Strategy, adhering to IOM and donor requirements. Ensure proper use of territorial monitoring tools. Consolidate inputs and review data for report preparation. Develop necessary inputs for project reports, meeting IOM and donor specifications. Assist in logistics and material preparation for training on monitoring methodologies, Kobo usage, and results-based management. Organize and maintain updated digital archives of verification means and databases for secure knowledge repository. Assist in executing project monitoring activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and objectives. Manage timely data collection to generate structured information on actions, performance indicators, and project results. Plan logistics for meetings, workshops, and training sessions. Manage monitoring tools, project files, documents, and verifiers to ensure information integrity, currency, accessibility, and traceability. Perform other assigned duties by the supervisor.

Work Experience

Experience supporting territorial monitoring activities, data collection, analysis, and reporting. Experience in project implementation support. Ability to explain technical processes to non-technical staff and provide effective technical support. Skill in managing multiple technical support tasks under tight deadlines. Proven commitment to confidentiality and personal data protection standards. Experience working with communities.
