Senior Reintegration Associate (Protection)
Organizational Context
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Libya has been active since 2006, supporting the government and communities through humanitarian, stabilization, and migration management. The role operates within the context of the dangerous Central Mediterranean Route, addressing significant protection concerns for vulnerable individuals, particularly those undertaking voluntary humanitarian return (VHR).
Job Purpose
This Senior Reintegration Associate (Protection) role supports the implementation of reintegration activities for migrants returning to Libya, under the supervision of the Senior Protection Coordinator and Program Manager (VHR). The primary purpose is to ensure the timely and accurate processing of migrant information to facilitate their successful reintegration. This involves coordinating and monitoring a range of post-arrival assistance, including counselling, psychosocial support, training, and socioeconomic reintegration services, in line with IOM procedures and project specifications. The role contributes to IOM's mission of promoting humane and orderly migration and supporting vulnerable individuals on the move.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and monitor reintegration support for returnees from Libya, including counselling, psychosocial assistance, training, job placement, and referrals, adhering to IOM policies. Support the implementation of the reintegration project work plan and contribute to mapping best practices. Maintain updated records of reintegration cases and files, ensuring compliance with IOM guidelines. Distribute tasks among caseworkers, set work plans, monitor performance, and review outputs, liaising with the VHR project manager on complex cases. Assist in distributing communication tools for beneficiaries and support field activities to monitor reintegration support. Apply relevant SOPs and databases, maintaining professional conduct and data protection. Generate financial reports from SAP/WAVE for project monitoring and donor reporting, and assist during audits.
Work Experience
Previous experience with NGOs or international organizations is advantageous. Demonstrated experience in accurately handling and reporting data is required. Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, is necessary.

Intermediate MS Office skills. Good organizational and coordination abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail.
