The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Manila, Philippines, seeks a Recruitment and Social Media Assistant. This role operates within the Recruitment Unit, under the Head of Recruitment and National Human Resource Officer. The position supports global recruitment efforts for professional category jobs and all categories at headquarters.

Job Purpose

The Recruitment and Social Media Assistant will provide crucial support to the IOM Recruitment Unit, focusing on sourcing, attraction, and recruitment marketing activities. This role is instrumental in managing job postings, engaging candidates through various channels, and ensuring efficient application screening for professional and headquarters positions worldwide. The assistant will contribute to building talent pipelines and maintaining the integrity of the recruitment process, ensuring timely communication and support to hiring managers and candidates. This position plays a key part in attracting and securing qualified talent for IOM's global operations.

Responsibilities

Key duties include posting job vacancies and executing recruitment marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including social media, job boards, and email. The role involves creating and optimizing social media content for search engine visibility. Responsibilities extend to reviewing panel compositions for diversity, guiding hiring managers, and managing access to the recruitment platform. The assistant will actively source and attract candidates using social media capabilities, and serve as a primary point of contact for application screening based on defined criteria. They will also manage candidate communication, including closing notices and updates on selection results, and respond to stakeholder queries. Additional tasks include reviewing selection documents, maintaining talent pipelines, updating tracking lists, supporting report preparation, and providing administrative assistance for interviews and background checks. The role also includes backup duties for the Recruiting Specialist.

Work Experience

Experience in a multi-cultural setting is advantageous. High computer literacy and experience with HR IT systems and applications are beneficial. Prior experience with candidate sourcing and attraction techniques is also desirable. Experience with Oracle Recruiting is considered an advantage.
