Job Purpose
The Senior Audiovisual Communications Associate supports brand compliance and the production of audiovisual and graphic content to achieve the Organization's communication objectives. This role contributes to the development and implementation of multimedia activities designed to enhance visibility and engagement across both digital and traditional platforms. The incumbent works under the overall supervision of the Regional Director and the direct supervision of the Senior Regional Media and Communications Officer, ensuring that all multimedia outputs align with IOM's communication strategies and enhance its public presence.
Responsibilities
The Senior Audiovisual Communications Associate is responsible for supporting brand compliance and quality control for all audiovisual and graphic outputs, ensuring adherence to IOM's visual identity standards. Key duties include content creation and production, capturing photographs and video footage, and editing videos for various platforms, including adding subtitles and motion graphics. The role involves preparing infographics and social media assets. The incumbent will utilize technical expertise in photography, videography, and editing software (Adobe Creative Suite) to produce multimedia content. Collaboration with the communications team for creative input and timely delivery, along with providing technical support and training to staff on audiovisual best practices, are also essential functions. Other related duties supporting the Regional Office's communications activities may be assigned.
Work Experience
Required experience includes photography, videography, and video editing for institutional or corporate communications, as well as producing infographics and graphic design outputs. Familiarity with social media platforms and optimizing multimedia content for digital channels is necessary. Experience within the UN or an NGO, particularly in the field of migration, is considered an asset.
Skills
Strong creative and technical skills in multimedia production. Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. Knowledge of motion graphics and animation is an asset. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
